Dream Room Glow-Up Challenge

We hosted our second Dream Room Glow Up, a competition using Woodgrain products to create the room of your dreams! Our last Dream Room Glow Up was won by none other than Lisa Chun! She started with a blank slate in her two-story foyer and used box trim to transform it into her dream space! It was stunning! We expected nothing less from a Real Simple and HGTV-featured DIY-er! Check out the 2021 winning room here!

In this contest the participants had to do the following:

  1. Come up with your Dream Room Glow Up using Woodgrain moulding.
  2. Submit your idea in our application.
  3. Woodgrain will select 4 ideas and provide moulding to create your Dream Room Glow Up.
  4. Create your Dream Room and submit photos once completed.
  5. Our followers will vote to determine the winner!
  6. Winner will receive a $500 Home Depot Gift card!
  7. Be 18 years or older.

The 4 contestants had 6 weeks from February 15th to March 30th to complete their Dream Room Glow Up! Learn about our contestants below:

Christine Nickerson (@christinenickersondesign)

Christine, the one-woman show, created this seamless coffered ceiling and chair rail to elevate the aesthetic of her family’s dining room. This room has transformed from a simple dining room to a statement room that oozes elegance!

George DIY Warrior (@thediywarrior)

George—like many of us—loves his furry family members! For him, his two sweet chocolate labs (Marlin, 12, and Drake almost 11) needed a comfy place where they can live out the rest of their lives in a place just for them. He decided to give a much-needed glow-up to his dogs’ room by adding a vertical shiplap going up 2/3 of the wall! George gave this space a fun yet moody spin with its Tricorn Black paint and dog-themed wallpaper.

Amanda and Jared (@ourhistoricalhouse)

Staying true to their love for their historical home, Amanda and Jared turned their old and drab basement pantry into the pantry of their dreams! The pair created a dark academia-inspired pantry with brick floors, dark cabinets, and wooden countertops!

Jonathan and Jenna (@jonathanandjenna)

The J duo decided to make this space more personalized for their family by redoing the main focal wall and the side closet space. This room is a multi-functional space where they can relax, watch movies, work out, and enjoy life! Goodbye old board + batten and hello WOW

We left the voting up to you all! After everyone put in their votes the winner was Amanda and Jared from @ourhistoricalhouse! Congratulations! This year’s contestants blew us away with their amazing renovations, craftsmanship, and ability to transform each room into their dream rooms.
