Moulding 101: Types of Moulding
Lineal commodity mouldings consist of solid and fingerjoint mouldings. A wide variety of profiles are available in Pine and Oak species, and raw or primed finishes. Moulding profiles include:
- Ceiling: Crown and Cove
- Wall and Trim: Chair Rail, Panel Mould and Corners
- Floor: Base, Base Shoe and Base Cap

Finished moulding is a no-paint required, ready to install moulding package that minimizes the installing process. Prefinished moulding consists of standard moulding profiles that are color-matched to any paint, stain or laminate color to provide customers with installation-ready products. Decorative moulding includes DecraMold® and BlockShop® branded product lines that install the same as traditional moulding.
