Moulding 101: Types of Moulding

Lineal commodity mouldings consist of solid and fingerjoint mouldings. A wide variety of profiles are available in Pine and Oak species, and raw or primed finishes. Moulding profiles include:

  • Ceiling: Crown and Cove
  • Wall and Trim: Chair Rail, Panel Mould and Corners
  • Floor: Base, Base Shoe and Base Cap
  • Door and Window: Casing, Stop, Window Components, Glass Bead, Drip Cap, Brick Mould and Back Band

Finished moulding is a no-paint required, ready to install moulding package that minimizes the installing process. Prefinished moulding consists of standard moulding profiles that are color-matched to any paint, stain or laminate color to provide customers with installation-ready products.
