- Unpack the new window and check it for square.
- To do this, measure opposite corners. They should be equal.
- Do NOT REMOVE any braces or reinforcing blocks until the window has
been nailed in place.
- Life the window into place and center it in the opening.
- Shim the jambs as you make sure that the window is plumb.
