Installing Windows
  • Remove the old window by prying off the inner sash and carefully removing the upper and lower sash.
  • Pry off the interior casing.
  • Cut any nails that may be holding the side jambs, head jambs of the sill to the framed opening.
  • When all the fasteners are out, you should be able to remove the window frame as a single unit.
  • Remove any exterior trim. 
  • Inspect the rough opening for water damage or rot, and make the necessary repairs.
