The days of olds forests providing our lumber are gone. Our old-growth forests have been set aside for wildlife habitat and recreation which has forced the natural resource dependent industry to look for new, environmentally friendly ways of obtaining resources.

Because trees are our only renewable resource, we rely on the planting and harvesting of faster growing trees. By utilizing the Radiata pine tree as one of our resources, we are able to take advantage of the tree's even grain and consistent texture and yet be environmentally responsible. Woodgrain Millwork owns a plantation and employs sustainable forestry practices to ensure a future for our forests.

Woodgrain's commitment to the environment includes having an Environmental Coordinator. The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for training, compliance reports, and works closely with the governing bodies.
